Once again the American Dream Farm Show Team excelled in their skills and sportsmanship. Many thanks to the Show Team Members, their parents, and all the supporters who came to the show to support the ADF Show Team. The ADF Show Team took home 31 ribbons and Kaitlyn Patience and Straw took home the Reserve Championship in the 13 & Under Western Pleasure Division. Congratulations Girls!

Tess & Courtney Birthday Party:

July, 2008: The Smith's hosted a birthday party to celebrate upcoming birthdays for Tess Smith and Courtney Cormier. Great day and we all got soaked due to a cleaverly planned water balloon fight with the kids .. which concluded with the parents getting just as wet. The events started with a nice Thunderstorm and then scavenger hunt. Followed by Simon Says, Egg --n- Spoon and some great food .. plus, a very big cookie cake. Happy Birthday Girls!

Beloved Image:

With a very heavy heart that I bring this very sad news to everyone. Our beloved Image was put to rest last night around 7:30 p.m. Image was found Sunday evening with a very sore left hind leg and what looked to be either a snake bite or a blow. After initial x-rays no fractures were found. After swelling started to increase even with treatment the vet x-rayed the leg again yesterday to find a tibial compound fracture that most likely started as a hairline fracture and simply continued to worsen. Even if the very expensive surgery were done there were no guarantees that Image would ever recover and live any good quality of life. We have suffered a terrible loss as many of you students took many of your first lessons on Image and showed him, and he taught us all so much every day just being in his presence.

I cannot thank you all enough who were here at the farm last night for coming here to say good-bye to Image. And, thanks to all of you who had offered to help me with cold hosing his leg and helping me treat him. Thank you all so much for the beautiful emails and voice mails. I know you all loved Image too. Scott, Tess, and myself have known Image as long as we have owned Titan and Zip and considered him one of our own. I cannot tell you all how much we will miss him every day from this point on.

We will be putting a Memory Page on the website for Image soon. Any stories you have or happy memories you wish to recant are welcomed.

To our Beautiful Brett's Image we love you very much. You remained sweet even at the end and never once pinned your ears or winced to let us know you were in pain. Image, you were an angel in a beautiful sorrel Appaloosa's body. A gift from God to all of us. I will remember you in only happy ways with a smile on my face as I think of you.
